Mariendom (Neuer Dom)
That’s what people from Linz are very proud of: the largest church in Austria and the Church Cross had to be made smaller, since the cathedral would otherwise be higher than Vienna’s St. Stephen's Cathedral. So what? The neo-gothic church is impressive anyway.

Hauptplatz und Landstraße
With approximately 13,200 m2 one of the largest enclosed squares in Europe. Ideal starting point for a walk along the “Landstrasse”, one of the busiest shopping streets in Austria. A glance into the little side streets is worthwhile in any case.
Schlossmuseum and Old Town
The Schlossmuseum Linz is Austria's largest universal museum with exhibitions on nature and technology among others. The new South Wing - a steel and glass construct - is an architectural contrast. From the castle you have a beautiful view over the roofs of Linz. The Old Town, between the main square and the castle, with small shops and pubs is a great place to stroll.
The northern bank of the Danube is one of the most popular recreation areas in Linz. Whether running, biking, walking the dog, skate park or just chilling out - everybody will find his time-out in the fresh air. The southern bank of the Danube also serves as a venue for art and culture, such as the Linz Cloud of Sound and the Linz Festival.

The Botanical Garden goes back to 1853 in its origins. Covering an area of 4.2 hectares more than 10,000 different plant species with a focus on the cactus and orchid collection can be found.
